Just arrived
Just arrived at Mellen. Engineer Bob and Conductor Dale came back from Ashland with 3 cars and the F45 / SDL 39 combo. They picked up the other two SD's and 28 more cars at Marengo Jct.

That has to be one of the more unusual power combinations seen in modern days. ATSF and BN(ex GN units) were the only substantial fleets, and the SDL39 was a special order for MILW, I believe only 10 built. Good catch!!.
